Linking employees between Workforce Management and Salaris Payroll

Employee mapping links employees within Workforce Management with their profiles in Salaris Payroll. This is essential for payroll because hourly employees are paid from timecards in Workforce Management.

If an employee is not mapped, their timecards cannot be matched to a Salaris Payroll profile and they will not get paid.

When mapping is needed

  • Hourly employees must be mapped to Workforce Management so timecards can flow into Salaris Payroll.

  • Salaried employees do not require Workforce Management profiles. These employees can exist only in Salaris Payroll and be marked as “Ignore this employee” on the mapping page.

The employee mappings page

Go to Settings > Employee mappings.

  • The page shows payroll employees who are not yet mapped to Workforce Management.

  • The banner at the top tells you how many employees still require mapping.

  • The goal is for this page to be empty, meaning all employees are either mapped or marked as ignored.

How to map employees

Option 1: Employee exists in both systems

  1. On the Employee mappings page, find the payroll employee.

  2. Open the Select option dropdown in the Workforce Management column.

  3. Choose the matching Workforce Management profile.

  4. Select Save.

Once saved, timecards from Workforce Management will flow automatically into Salaris Payroll.

Option 2: Employee exists only in Workforce Management

The employee will need to be created in Salaris Payroll. Refer to How to create an employee in Salaris Payroll | Salaris Payroll Help Center.

Option 3: Employee exists only in Salaris Payroll (salaried employees)

  1. On the Employee mappings page, open the Select option dropdown.

  2. Select Ignore this employee.

  3. Select Save.

This confirms the employee does not require Workforce Management mapping.

Viewing mappings

To view an existing mapping:

  1. Open the employee profile in Salaris Payroll.

  2. Select ⋮ → View employee mapping.

  3. A modal shows the linked Workforce Management profile.

Mappings cannot be edited once saved. If a correction is needed, contact Salaris Payroll Support.

Why employee mapping matters

Without proper mapping, Salaris Payroll cannot match Workforce Management timecards to employees. This means employees will not be paid. Reviewing and maintaining employee mappings ensures payroll runs smoothly and accurately.
