Employee mapping links employees created in SocialSchedules with their profiles in Salaris. This is essential for payroll because hourly employees are paid from timecards in SocialSchedules.
If an employee is not mapped, their timecards cannot be matched to a Salaris profile and they will not get paid.
When mapping is needed
Hourly employees must be mapped to SocialSchedules so timecards can flow into Salaris.
Salaried employees do not require SocialSchedules profiles. These employees can exist only in Salaris and be marked as “Ignore this employee” on the mapping page.
The employee mappings page
Go to Settings > Employee mappings.
The page shows payroll employees who are not yet mapped to SocialSchedules.
The banner at the top tells you how many employees still require mapping.
The goal is for this page to be empty, meaning all employees are either mapped or marked as ignored.
How to map employees
Option 1: Employee exists in both systems
On the Employee mappings page, find the payroll employee.
Open the Select option dropdown in the SocialSchedules column.
Choose the matching SocialSchedules profile.
Select Save.
Once saved, timecards from SocialSchedules will flow automatically into Salaris.
Option 2: Employee exists only in SocialSchedules
The employee will need to be created in Salaris. Refer to How to create an employee in Salaris | Salaris Payroll Help Center.
Option 3: Employee exists only in Salaris (salaried employees)
On the Employee mappings page, open the Select option dropdown.
Select Ignore this employee.
Select Save.
This confirms the employee does not require SocialSchedules mapping.
Viewing mappings
To view an existing mapping:
Open the employee profile in Salaris.
Select ⋮ → View employee mapping.
A modal shows the linked SocialSchedules profile.
Mappings cannot be edited once saved. If a correction is needed, contact Salaris Support.
Why employee mapping matters
Without proper mapping, Salaris cannot match SocialSchedules timecards to employees. This means employees will not be paid. Reviewing and maintaining employee mappings ensures payroll runs smoothly and accurately.
