How the Payroll Promo Works

Here's what you need to know to take advantage of Holiday Hero or New Year, New Payroll.

Getting your first payroll paid on time

  • Holiday Hero: to qualify, your first payroll run through Salaris must be paid on or before October 31, 2026

  • New Year, New You: to qualify, your first payroll of 2027 must be paid in Salaris in January. The exact date will vary depending on the pay cycle length.

That means your employees need to have actually been paid by the relevant date, not just scheduled or pending approval.

What “free payroll” actually means

During your free period, you won't pay the $29.99 monthly Salaris fee or the standard per-paid-employee fee. It is not common, but if you incur any other fees they will be applicable — see the Salaris Payroll Fees Help Center article for the full breakdown. In short: the monthly base fee and employee fees are on us, everything else runs as normal.

When your monthly payroll billing starts

Your monthly Salaris fee starts the month you become eligible to run payroll — that's the date your implementation is marked Completed. There's one exception: if that eligibility date falls more than 6 days before the start date you originally nominated, billing won't start early. Instead, it kicks in 6 days before your nominated start date.

  • Example: You nominate December 7 as your start date and become eligible on December 4 (3 days early, within the 6-day window) — your first month of billing is December.

  • Example: You nominate January 10 as your start date but become eligible on December 26 (more than 6 days early) — billing doesn't start until January 4 (6 days before your nominated date), so your first month of billing is January.

Fees are billed a month in arrears — so your December fee is on your January invoice.

Who can use this payroll offer

These offers are for businesses that are new to Salaris. If you're already an existing Salaris customer, this promotion isn't available to you.

Each business can only use one of the two offers — not both.

After your free months are up

Once your free period ends, you'll automatically move to standard Salaris pricing — no action needed on your part, and no surprises: billing simply resumes at the normal monthly rate.

What's included either way

Whichever offer you pick, you'll get free white-glove help migrating your payroll data over to Salaris, plus a dedicated support contact to help you through the switch.

Salaris Payroll offers premium payroll without the bells and whistles you don't need at a great low price.
