How employees can opt in to paperless tax statements (W-2s)

Learn how employees can choose to receive W-2s electronically instead of by mail.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

During onboarding, employees can choose to receive their W-2s electronically.

This option is available in the onboarding component, accessed through the onboarding link or the Salaris mobile app.

Checking the box besides, I wish to receive paperless W-2 statements and related tax information from my employer (the "company") will elect the employee into receiving electronic W-2s.

If an employee does not consent to receiving their W-2 electronically, a paper copy will be mailled to their registered address once finalized.

This comes at a nominal cost to the Company, as outlined here.

Employers cannot set this preference on behalf of employees.
